The Ritz offers classes in Classical Ballet from Pre-Primary level right through to professional level in the CSTD Syllabus & Vaganova method and from Primary-Gr 5 Ballet in RAD Syllabus. Our Ballet department has been hugely successful over the years with several of our students going on to professional careers in Ballet Companies and as Teachers. Former student Jared Rainford-Wright is now a professional ballet dancer in Europe after finishing his 3rd year as a company member of The Australian Ballet Company in 2009. Former student Robert McMillan is currently in the Queensland Ballet Company. Former Student Jessica Fyfe is currently in The Australian Ballet Company. We have had 7 students selected for the exclusive Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Programme since its inception in 2001 and others to the Australian Ballet School Interstate Programme. Other students have gone on to full-time training at National Theatre Ballet School, Brent Street and ED-5. We strongly encourage all dance students to take at least one ballet class per week to keep their other styles strong, however, if ballet is your main focus, you need to be taking more than one class per week and keep building the training as you move up through the grade levels. All of our Ballet exams Syllabi are recognised by Education Queensland and can help students who are in Yrs 11 and 12 at school with their Senior Certificates and Ops.
